a great morning in soft snow trougth the woods of Courmayeur. we have enjoy a few runs before most of lifts clouse because of strong wind.

At last minutes, the lift company in Courmayeur has decided to open a few lifts. just a couple of runs are open and lift are of course busy but just fine to enjoy and warm up. The toula Glacier is still with big crevasses and accessible only using long ropes. Some more snow is aspected on monday  we well see

We are just back from Nepal after the Khatung Kang 6484m Expedition 2011, in the lower Mustang region in Annapurna conservation area. This is not a very easy summint and not even much climbed, infact the snow conditions and some tecnicals difficulties, stop us at 6100m, just maded with the help of the 3 sherpa Eang Purpha, Pasang and Suoki.

Great week sunny and warm considering is nearly October. Rossella and Paola they enjoy the wild Island of Corsica  walking along the famous Grand Ranndonnée de La Corse the GR20. The steep mountains and the basic trail most of the way just market on rocks with paint is a challenge for most of trekkers.

25 08 11.Il fine Agosto ci ha offerto un po di estate che in parte avevamo quasi dimenticato e proprio per questo ci siamo spostati sul solido e ruvido granito dell'Aiguille Croux, nella parte sud del Monte Bianco. Con Nick e Edward abbiamo salito la sua classicissima cresta Sud che con piacevole ed a volte esposta arrampicata regala emozioni d'alta quota in un contesto alpinistico antico , solitario, dove l'affollamento, è solo una parola scritta da chi non ha voglia di scoprire veramente quanto grandi sono le montagne.

Oggi 14 agosto 2011 , grazie alla perseveranza di Bruce e suo figlio Ben, con i quali già ieri avevamo tentato di salire il Monte Bianco , ma poi respinti dal vento forte, già al Tacul, ho raggiunto per la 50 esima volta professionalmente la cima del Monte Bianco. di queste 50 salite purtroppo non ricordo i volti di tutti ma ricordo che erano tutti sorridenti e alcuni anche commossi ed ogni persona aveva motivi, aspirazioni e pensieri differenti, è per questo che queste 50 salite sono tutte uniche e non mi sono mai annoiato. Grazie atutti quelli che mi hanno dato fiducia e che hanno seguito.
